| The link is about IDENTITY THEFT by state. The green states are lowest on the list. You can see that the safest states are the most politically or socially conservative: Maine, Kentucky, Idaho, etc. If you correlate these with the states that have the best economies, you see pretty good correlation. http://www.forbes.com/2005/05/05/05bestplaces.html Some exceptions raise deeper issues. Albuquereque is a good town for economic growth, but the state is in the middle for identity theft. Sometimes, you cannot have a vibrant society where everyone sits down, shuts up, and does as they are told. After all, Mercury was the god of both merchants and thieves. A little lawlessness can be a good thing. | ||
