| Originally, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation had planned to replace the towers of the World Trade Center with a horrible design by pomo architect Daniel Libeskind. It was an asymmetrical, empty-looking shard of glass with an unsatisfying spire at its peak. The new design looks much better. | ||
