| Here is an excellent article by Walter Williams explaining a simple set of economic facts that seem to escape all mainstream attention and understanding. It is quite amazing that among economic commentators on business news channels like CNBC that no one ever gives an explanation of inflation as being the result of the government expansion of the money supply. The solution to the problem of inflation is outlined here by Dr. Williams. His prescription is for the government to "repeal legal tender laws and eliminate all taxes on gold, silver and platinum transactions. That way, Americans could write contracts in precious metals and thereby reduce the ability of government to steal from us." | ||
