Lots of singing, lots of dancing, lots of fun. The sense of life of Gershwin's music, the brilliantly colourful ballet scene and the radiant Gene Kelly make this is a classic.

I don't care what anybody says; this film is a brilliantly honest testimony to what life is like for a person who lacks a vigorous, core philosophy with which to defend against an oppressive, dehumanizing society that worships mindless traditionalism and conformity.
