This is the one painting I have seen that most clearly and powerfully expresses the noble view of man, such as that in the works of Ayn Rand. To best appreciate Friedrich's "Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog," I suggest you contemplate it while listening to Ludwig van's Glorious Ninth - the second or fourth movement, your choice.
