There's just something about this man's paintings that just resonates with me. Many times I am alone, but not lonely. I could be in a group for a while and realize that I haven't spoken to anyone at all - that I'm observing them, not with them. Sometimes I'm 'awakened' from this reverie-like state with the question, "Why are you sad"? To which I'll invariably reply, "But I'm not sad at all...", but then I'm at a lost for words when asked to described what I actually feel.

When I look at this painting, it captures that mood so perfectly, it's eerie.
