Reminds me of a Depeche Mode song.

"Keep the appointments that I kept
Try walking in my shoes..."

A better proof of courage is to stay in your own shoes when the shit hits the fan!

Ciro, change "prove" to "proof."

Your statement depends upon the person into whose shoes I am stepping.  Stepping into the shoes of George Washington is worthwhile.  Stepping into the shoes of Adolf Hitler is not.

I find Gary's statement more plausible and complete.

A prove of courage ? To step into someone else’s shoes!

Couldn't agree more!  I once wore a pair of my mom's shoes to a job interview -- knowing full well that they were too small -- as they were a better match to my outfit than any pair I owned at the time.  By the time I returned home, my toes were blue!

If you don't think that takes courage, just try it sometime (or ask any woman)!

Luke thank you for the correction!

Hitler? about giving it a try? see how it feels!
BTW I din't say that by stepping into someone else's shoes you become one.

This might be true, especially if the owner doesn't wear socks or doesn't change them often enough.  For most people, though, using someone else's toothbrush would be a better test.

Or has chronic popcorn feet.  I once dated a guy who suffered from that particular affliction.  He tried everything; anti-fungal creams, powders and even silica gel packs.  Nothing worked.  I eventually suggested amputation.  We broke up shortly thereafter.
