| | 311 is probably my favorite band, and I've been following them a while now. From all the interviews I've seen on tv and read in magazines, I would have to assume that they're one of the most well-read rock bands out there (as well as one of the most talented and creative musically). Where other bands' members are most likely to mention the cds in their cars at the time of an interview or something along those lines, 311's members are far more likely to tell an interviewer which books they're reading, which plays they've recently enjoyed, art they've come to appreciate, far-off places they've visited to learn more about other cultures, etc. I can appreciate them a lot, considering they help to break the stereotypes about rock bands being mindless "headbanging caterwaulers."
