Disgusting.  Thanks for posting it though.

I found this out about Peta from the episode of Bullshit on them, their approach to the animals they supposedly care so much about is just horrible.  And the fact that they take money from loving pet owners when they're against the very idea of pet ownership.

Rant concluded.

PETA makes me want to eat veal and club baby seals. They are mammal-terrorists who hate people and love animals.

They are. But an idea Rand put into my head is that if you (as an individual human... so forth) are not your highest value, you are incapable of having one.  Thus the fact that they despise humans yet claim love for animals, yet are worse to them than most habitual and honest carnivores.

Yes, as long as you don't love yourself, because you hate humans, you can't feel any affection for animals. So, instead they pretend to care for animals, while they are completely irresponsible in reality. The result is this twisted hypocrisy that helps neither humans nor animals.

Hahah, thanks for posting this, Max. I just love the laconic wit in this paragraph:

In a highly original maneuver, the perpetrators crossed out the word "Kills" and sprayed the word "Saves" in its place. Unfortunately for them, the Center for Consumer Freedom also owns the Internet domain "PetaSavesAnimals.com" -- which redirects to PetaKillsAnimals.com. Oops.

What angers me is that PETA is often portrayed as a mainstream group by the media, but they are in fact radical extremists!  I think there are lots of people out there with a soft spot for animals (but who also eat meat and support animal testing) who don't fully realize the evil inherent in PETA.  Anytime I see that a celebrity becomes a PETA spokesman, that celebrity makes my shit list for life: Alec Baldwin and Pamela Anderson are prime examples.

Well, that's really the problem. They only identify themselves with certain campaigns (fur and such), but their appearance there is seen as an advocacy of everything PETA stands for. And the public seems to believe that what is good for those rich hollywood girls, can't be bad for me nobody.

The effect is that they don't even look at what they support before they support it.
