| | The Fair tax isn't "fair" (like any form of initiated compulsion), but I think it would be an incredibly positive step toward the right direction.
1. Instead of being taxed in the background, people will be conscious of how much they are taxed in every single trade, instead of once every two weeks on pay day.
2. American human labor would be as cheap as possible (read efficient), enabling us to compete with other countries in products which were once inaccessible due to high employment taxes.
3. Taxes will be punishing people purchasing more valued things, rather than punishing people for creating more value. Incentive to be more productive will go up, and incentive to consume and waste will go down. (Edited by Dean Michael Gores on 9/24, 12:32pm)
