| | James Dobson of Focus on the Family has denied the White House said Miers will over turn Roe v. Wade in a pre announcement phone call. But John Fund of www.opinionjournal.com (WSJ) has obtained notes of a second conference call.
"Dobson and other religious conservatives held a conference call to discuss the nomination" "Two of Ms. Miers's close friends--both sitting judges--said during the call that she would vote to overturn Roe."
They were not speaking on behalf of the WH so I guess it's OK.
