This may be old news, but scroll down to the 'Google' search bar on SOLO's home page, select 'search the entire internet', type in 'failure' and see what the first listed entry is.
I heard about this just recently. Apparently it has something to do with bloggers interlinking amongst themselves to boost the search result on Google. Google's responding by creating a blog search that'll eventually take all the blogs out of the main search results.
Google uses links to establish the page rankings it uses to return a list of pages for any given search query. This is the billion dollar idea that has Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page shitting in high cotton.
Of course, get enough bloggers to put a little link on the side of their website, with the text "miserable failure," pointing to the biography of George W. Bush, and Google's page-ranking algorithms will be overwhelmed, as they were in this case.
SoloHQ is gradually improving its Google PageRank, as the number of inbound page links increase. But there is one thing that everyone who ever creates links to the SOLO site should consider...
The two most common "objectivist" terms that people search for (measured by the faily accurate Overture Tool) are "ayn rand" and "objectivism".
So when you link to the Solo web site on your blog, website, posts on other blogs etc, we should all focus on using the phrases "ayn rand" and "objectivism" as the link words to solo. That is the best way to improve Solo's positions for these terms.
(these two links are chosen for their key word intensity and current page rank, and it is important that we all link to the same url in order to concentrate the effect of the link popularity)
If 5 to 10 of us do this, we'll get surprising results! Right now Solo does not register in the first 100 positions in Google for "Ayn Rand" and is 17th for "objectivism". I think we could be in the top 30 in 3 months for "Ayn Rand" and the critical top 10 for "objectivism".
