Thank you for the sentiments ... but I throw mud as well as anyone else, and would classify at least some of my remarks in that thread as intemperate.
Personally, I don't mind people playing the dozens, as long as they keep it _interesting_. A particular insult may say something important about the person at whom it is hurled (or about the person doing the hurling). Once it's been recycled 50 times and goes into general usage, it's just noise instead of signal.
