| Description Matthew Platts, 19, first became interested in Ayn Rand at the age of 15, when a humorous accident involving a banoffee pie and a jar of pickled onions caused him to stumble upon the novella Anthem. As a result, he felt it necessary to follow up in reading as many of Ayn Rand's other writings as possible. Spending much time in philosophical thought, Matthew is worryingly sympathetic to logical positivism, and as such, may be labelled a fact denying whim-worshipper at will.
Youthful good looks and an appetite for film-making do not prevent his libertarian sentiments from being despised amongst the conservatives, liberals and socialists at the University of York.
